Nespresso Coffee Machines
The Essenza Mini is a great option if you want to make your favourite coffee drink at home, but don't have a lot of counter space. It's the smallest espresso machine that still makes excellent tasting espresso.
All Nespresso machines need periodic descaling to eliminate mineral buildup inside the machine. You'll be notified when it's descale time and they're generally easy to clean.
1. OriginalLine
OriginalLine is the classic line of Nespresso, which uses hermetically sealed pods. They are the most affordable and can make espresso and coffee. They also have a wider variety of capsules and beverage options than VertuoLine machines. VertuoLine machines are better suited to those who prefer larger drinks.
The VertuoLine is a brand new line that utilizes more advanced techniques and specifications. It delivers better performance than the OriginalLine. They offer a wider assortment of brew sizes, including 0.85 ounces of ristretto 1.35 ounces of double espresso, 5.8 ounces of lungo, and 14 ounces of Alto XL. They also offer a speedier process called centrifusion, which rotates the pods at 7,000 RPM, allowing more water to flow through for better extraction.
In addition to improving the technology, VertuoLine has also increased the number of capsules that can be reused and introduced an environmentally sustainable packaging system. They are now using 80% recycled aluminum for their coffee capsules, and are committed to increasing the percentage of recycled and low carbon aluminum that is virgin in the future products.
The Lattissima Pro is one of the most efficient nespresso coffee machines available. It comes with a fast heat-up time, and an LCD screen that allows you to customize settings. It also comes with a powerful steaming wand for creating a café-like foam and milk texture. The machine might not be as compact as other nespresso machines, but it is easy to clean and comes with an ejectable capsule.
2. Vertuoline
The Vertuoline is a recent version of the Nespresso lineup. It is the only machine to make espresso and coffee. It also includes a built-in milk frother. This is a great choice for those who like various black drinks, but don't want the hassle of making them separately.
Vertuoline machines use a different pod system than the OriginalLine line. The pods are marked with barcodes which the machines can scan to determine the size of the beverage (ristretto or cappuccino), and add the proper amount of water. This eliminates the need for a separate container of milk and makes it easier to create the perfect espresso or coffee.

In machine coffee of quality, the Vertuoline machines produce an espresso that's closer to the dense foam you get at a traditional coffee shop rather than the light Crema that is found in the OriginalLine machines. The OriginalLine machines offer the most flavor, however, since they generate 19 bars of pressure to better extract the flavor from the ground espresso.
The more modern VertuoLine machine utilizes a technique known as Centrifusion which rotates the capsules faster and more equally than the Original Line machine. This improves the speed of the infusion of water and improves the quality of the beverage. The Vertuoline machines can also use a lower temperature to speed up extraction and improve the strength of the coffee.
3. Original
This entry-level Original machine is an attractive alternative for those who don't have a lot of space or budget to purchase a larger machine. It has a smaller tank and capsule container, but has 19 bars of pressure. This is more than enough to make the espressos and coffees that most people purchase Nespresso for.
The machine is minimalist in its black design and the top-facing buttons manage all functions from turning on to rinsing and brewing. This method is typical of Nespresso machines, and it makes them simple to learn and operate.
This model also comes with a jug that can be used to create drinks using foam. It also has 11 different milk temperature settings for customizing the texture of your coffee or latte and it is able to make both short and long cappuccinos as well as lattes.
The model comes with buttons that are marked to make it simple to select beverages. The base of the holder for capsules has raised squares for controlling the amount of pressure applied to each pod in order to produce the desired size. This allows you to regulate the amount of pressure applied to each pod, and also helps determine when the machine requires descale. The machine can be utilized with capsules from other brands, like Dualit's Nespresso compatible capsules.
4. Creatista
If you're seeking a Nespresso machine that can make both milk-based drinks and espresso this model is for you. It's the latest version of Nespresso's Creatista line and is manufactured by Breville (known as Sage in Europe). If you prefer a traditional approach, you can also choose to manually froth the milk.
The Creatista's rapid heat-up is a excellent feature. It can reach temperatures in only 3 seconds, which is more efficient than other Nespresso machines. The design of the machine is sleek and beautiful and has a brushed body made of stainless steel that looks great on any counter. The high-resolution display makes it easy to use navigation when setting up, preparing and maintaining the machine. It is available in four colors that include sea salt, black truffle damson blue, sea salt the stainless steel version. The Creatista is also small and measures 6.7 x 15.4 x 12 in (WxDxH). This is a great feature for small kitchens and makes it easy to use with larger recipes. The 19 bar extraction system makes it easy to make cafe-style dishes and the speedy heating process is another benefit.
The CitiZ Basic doesn't come with the milk frother. You can purchase one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This option includes the Aeroccino steamer so you can make creamy cappuccinos and lattes. This model can be used with capsules that are reusable however they are not included.
It comes with a large 1 liter water tank, as well as a capsule container that holds up to 11 capsules. Unlike the Pixie model, this one doesn't automatically remove used capsules following brewing; you need to raise and lower the holder to let the capsules out.
It's a simple to operate machine, and the streamlined design is easy to wipe clean. The model also has a descaling mode, though there's no indicator or button and the process isn't very intuitive. The drip tray, water tank and capsule container are easily washable for ease of cleaning.
